3rd Topic in the Research Symposia: Scale
Discussion
forum opens late August.
Live panel convenes
September 6, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM ET.
What
do we know about scaling online learning? Perspectives from research and
practice on industry growth
The availability of the Internet is completely transforming higher
education. Large scale usage is already here and the possibilities opened
up by online learning are wide-ranging and immediate, according to A. Frank
Mayadas, senior advisor to the Sloan Foundation and lead off speaker for
this symposium. He notes there are cost-effective ways to build even
greater scale onto the strong foundation already in place with great
understanding of culture, technology, leadership, public profile and
policy.
Last Chance to Submit a Nomination for the 2012 Sloan-C
Awards
The Sloan Consortium has recognized outstanding work in the
field of online education through an annual awards process since 2001. The deadline for the submission of nominations
