Course Objective
The objective of the course is for participants to become competent at facilitating online learning. Participants will get tips and tricks on how to optimize their work as facilitators of fully online and blended learning courses.

Course Description

You may know about Moodle, Blackboard, Blogging, Wikis, Edmodo, Canvas, or other online learning environments or course management systems and how to add content and perhaps evaluate and grade students, but how do you facilitate online courses so that learners develop artifacts through active learning? Teachers will learn about online facilitation and active learning. Participants will focus on best practices and learn a few tricks and tips on how to facilitate online classes and courses. The duration of the course will be 3 weeks, from June 2 to June 23, 2012. The facilitators are Dr. Nellie Deutsch, Dr. Ludmila Smirnova, and Diethild Starkmeth. The two are experienced online facilitators who practice relationships-based collaborative learning.
Who should Enroll
The course is for current and future teachers who wish to teach blended or fully online classes.
