The “Flipped Classroom” is
all the rage in higher ed these days. The flipped classroom model, where
core content is delivered before the scheduled lecture and in-class time
involves interactive learning, is gaining fresh attention given the
adoption of technologies like lecture capture. Lecture capture, or the
process of creating recorded digital content for student viewing,
increases in relevance as the foundation of a solid blended learning
strategy.
Register for
this live webinar event where the project investigators will discuss the
results of the study, specifically:
- Why lecture capture was
first introduced at UT Austin
- How lecture capture is
deployed on campus
- What faculty learned
about integrating collaborative active learning activities in the
large classroom
- How students reacted to
the inversion of the classroom
In addition, the UT Austin
research team will reveal how use of the flipped classroom model improved
student learning, satisfaction, and engagement.
